SNAP-biotin can be used in cells, for Western blots and for protein interaction experiments

SNAP-biotin kits enable biotinylation of SNAP-tag fusion proteins in solution or in live cells. Applications include capture of fusion proteins on streptavidin-coated surfaces for interaction assays, detection of proteins in fixed cells using streptavidin fluorophore conjugates, or Western blots with appropriate detection reagents. SNAP-biotin kits reduce labor for covalent biotinylation in solution as no prior purification is required.
