CLIP-tag is a sibling of the SNAP-tag of identical size, but reacting with benzylcytosine (CT) derivatives which form a separate class of substrates than the ones recognized by the SNAP-tag. Applications so far include intracellular and cell surface labeling, and simplified detection of CLIP-tag proteins on an SDS-PAGE gel.
Our kits include a free license even allowing commercial use of CLIP-tag (such as contract research).
