ACP-tag & MCP-tag Kits

ACP-tag and MCP-tag are small protein tags with about 8 kD molecular weight, suitable for cell surface proteins only. ACP-tag and MCP-tag allow sequential dual color labeling of two different proteins. The reduced size of these tags can be beneficial for certain applications. The presence of a particular synthase is required for the formation of a covalent link between the ACP-tag fusion protein and the Coenzyme A based substrate. Due to the use of charged substrates in combination with the synthase, the application of the ACP-tag and the MCP-tag are therefore restricted to cell surface proteins and cell free systems.

Our kits include a free license even allowing commercial use of the ACP-tag & MCP-tag (such as contract research).
