Don't limit your applications by your protein tag!

Covalys' self-labeling tags give superior results for receptor internalization, binding studies, HTRF®, protein trafficking, and many other assays. All of this simply by changing labels on your tag without recloning.

NEW PRODUCTS

Now available: CLIP-cell, CLIP-biotin, CLIP-vitro, CLIP-vista substrates for labeling CLIP-tag fusion proteins in cells, on cell surfaces and in gels, plus CLIP-tag plasmids to start cloning your CLIP-tag fusion protein.

COMPANY NEWS:

Covalys is highly pleased to announce the introduction of a second protein tag for intracellular use - the CLIP-tag.  This protein tag is closely related to the SNAP-tag, but it reacts with a different class of substrates. While the SNAP-tag reacts with benzylguanine derivatives, the CLIP-tag reacts with benzylcytosine derivatives. This difference in substrate recognition allows the simultaneous labeling of two different proteins in a cell or a cell population, including all the benefits already known for the SNAP-tag.  A first set of substrates is available from April 2008 and Covalys will stepwise increase the number of products in the coming quarters.
